Mary Elizabeth (Garrity) Kubus

Age 85, of Scott Twp., passed away on Wednesday, April 29, 2020. Beloved wife of 63 years to Frank J. Kubus, Sr.; loving mother of Frank J. (Mary Lou) Kubus, Jr., Thomas (Debi) Kubus and James (Linda) Kubus; cherished Grandma Mary to Francis, III (Tracey), Abby Rose, Katelyn (fiancé Michael Adams), Tom Landry, Daniel (fiancée Taylor Lang), Stephanie Kubus; loving great-Grandma Mary of Adelaide Elizabeth Kubus; beloved sister of Gemma (Lee) Lundberg, Sr. Gemma de la Passione L.S.P., Ruth (the late Dennis) Mangan and the late Helen Mae Garrity and Honora (George) Sturak; dear friend of Norma Munro and Fr. Robert George; also survived by many nephews. Mary was a 1952 graduate of South Hills High School and a 1955 graduate of the South Side Hospital School of Nursing. She was a Eucharistic Minister at Our Lady of Grace Church and a volunteer at the Little Sisters of the Poor. Mary was a breast cancer survivor and belonged to "Glue Girls" and was a den mother of Pact #189. Memorials may be made to the Little Sisters of the Poor, 1028 Benton Ave., Pgh, PA 15212.
