Mary Ellen (Jones) Osselborn

Age 81, of Mt. Washington, passed away peacefully on January 27, 2022 at Baldwin Health Center. Loving wife of 61 years to Donald Osselborn. They met at only nine years old and she often talked about how it was love at first sight. They were married in March of 1960 and had three sons; Kevin (Stephanie) Osselborn, Ricky (Ann) Osselborn, and the late Donnie Osselborn. Later in life, adding four daughters, Tammy Osselborn, Kate (Ben) Gery, Kelli and Sheila Osselborn. Loving Grandma and great-grandma to 10 grandkids and 14 great-grandkids; Erika (Paul) Howard, Ryan (Emily) Osselborn, Anthony Petrovich, Christopher Osselborn, Kevin Osselborn, RJ (Ashlie) Osselborn, Holly (Steve) Osselborn, Peityn, Aiden, Paul Michael, and Benny. Beloved sister of Chuck (Linda) Jones, Beatrice (Frank) Jones McGee, Joey (Maxine) Heidkamp, Sandy (Bill) Dixon, Dennis (Nancy) Heidkamp and Grace (Dom) Scoglietti and the late Jack (Helen) Jones. Preceded in death by her mother, Grace Heidkamp and father, Ernest Arthur Jones. Will be missed by many cousins, nieces, nephews, and loved ones. She was a generous, kind and loving woman. She loved to spend all of her time with her family. She enjoyed crocheting, cooking, trips to the casino, and hosting family get-togethers for many years. She had a love for April Fool's Day as she enjoyed pranking and joking with her family. Her contagious smile and laugh will be forever in our hearts. She was so genuine, strong, courageous, and beautiful. "Goodbyes are not forever, Goodbyes are not the end. It simply means I'll miss you until we meet again." She will be deeply missed by all that had the honor to know her. Family and friends received Sunday, February 6th, 2022, 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at WM. SLATER & SONS, INC., 301 Virginia Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15211. Funeral service held Monday, February 7th, 2022 at 11 a.m. at WM. SLATER & SONS, INC., followed by burial at Mt. Lebanon Cemetery, 509 Washington Road, Mt. Lebanon, PA 15228.
