Age 65, of Jefferson Hills, formerly of Greentree, on Monday, August 17, 2015. Beloved wife of Dan Harris; stepmother of Brett (Renee) Harris; grandmother of Natalie and Brynn; dear sister of Susan Quinn, Pamela (Barry) Frigot, Melissa (Dwight) Satterfield, Judith (Scott) Miller, Florence (Peter) Donnelly, and the late Paul (Mary) Seibel; aunt of Maggie, Daniel, August, Hannah, Galen, Timothy, Emily, Kelly, Shane, Neal and Grant; great aunt of Issara, Maz and Austin. She will be greatly missed by her husband, all her family and friends, and her cherished dog, Cori. Mary Ann will be remembered for her genuine kindness and generosity, and her passion for music and theater. She was a retired elementary music teacher from the Baldwin-Whitehall School District where she was awarded Teacher of Distinction by The Pittsburgh Foundation, and later supervised and taught music education student teachers for Duquesne University. In past years she performed with the Mendelsohn Choir as a member and soloist, and had major roles in community musical theater, opera and operetta groups. She served as Cantor for the Diocese of Pittsburgh, taught private piano and voice lessons, and recently sang with the Pittsburgh Concert Chorale. Friends are welcome Sunday 6-8 pm, and Monday 2-4 and 6-8 pm at WILLIAM SLATER FUNERAL SERVICES, 1650 Greentree Rd., Scott Twp. 412-563-2800. Mass of Christian Burial 11:00 am Tuesday at St. Margaret of Scotland. Interment is private.
