Marily J. (Ellis) Mielnicki

Marilyn J. (Ellis) Mielnicki, 85, passed away on October 13, 2024, in Pittsburgh, PA. Born and raised in Conneaut Lake, PA, she moved to Pittsburgh with her late husband Arthur J. Mielnicki.  Also preceding her in death was Sandra, a sister married to Ward Kerlin. Marilyn is survived by two sisters, Lisa, wife of George Groff and Tricia Ellis; and a son David Mielnicki. She was a very proud grandmother who enjoyed being actively involved with her grandchildren David J., Jaret W., Kaitlin R. and Michael C. Mielnicki.

She enjoyed a lifetime career as a businesswoman in the Pittsburgh area. Marilyn spent 25 years managing and then owning her own fitness facilities, always a champion of the importance of external and internal health. She wrote exercise guides as well as cookbooks to promote healthy lifestyle choices. In later years this led to many hours of competitive fun on the pickleball court.  She then managed a successful 25-year real estate career where she enjoyed meeting and assisting her many clients.

Marilyn will be interned at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Bridgeville PA. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh Foundation or Commonwealth Hospice, Pittsburgh, PA. Arrangements entrusted to WILLIAM SLATER II FUNERAL SERVICE, Scott Twp.
