Marie H. Schwartz

Marie Helen Schwartz (Rossi), 86, of Hopewell, died peacefully in her sleep on December 4, 2022. 

Born in Uniontown, as the eldest of six children to the late Henry and Frances (Rotoni). Marie married her beloved husband Albert in 1958. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband and son, Matthew, along with her brother, Ronald. She is survived by children Michael (Michelle) and Mary Beth; grandchildren Nichole (Ryan), Adrienne, Michael Albert, Michael Henry, Kayla and Mark; brothers Hank (Phillissa), Frank, Bob (Joanne) and Phil (MaryAnne), and step-grandchildren Nikki, Rob (Alex) and Helen. She is also survived by countless friends, cousins, nephews and nieces.

The matriarch of her family, Marie was a voluminous reader, avid antiques collector, and co-owner of Dairy Queen franchises in Green Tree and Coraopolis. She loved, among other things, listening to old records, showing off her knowledge of history and current events when watching “Jeopardy!,” and playing host to family functions.
