MARIE C. DURSO (SORICE)

Age 99, of Carnegie, passed away on Monday, November 25, 2024. Born in Washington, PA, she was a daughter of the late Antonio and Florence (Tesauro) Sorice. Beloved wife of the late William A. Durso; loving mother of Andrea LaRocca (the late Joseph), the late Bill Durso (survived by Mary Beth), and Christine Chambers (Jack); cherished grandmother of Nicole Santo (Chris), Robert Durso (Faith), Carly Durso, and Joshua Chambers (Carey Welsh); great grandmother of Luca and Louie Santo, Anthony and Isaac Durso, and baby girl Chambers. Marie was preceded in death by brothers, Samuel, John, Dominic, Joseph, Anthony and Michael Sorice (survived by Doris), and sisters, Angeline Sorice and Theresa Martin. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly. 

Marie, was one of the original founding parishioners of Ss. Simon and Jude Parish. She was an active member of the church, taking part in senior trips, festivals, and the Christian Mothers. She enjoyed her bowling league, cooking, and cheering on all Pittsburgh sports teams, but most of all she enjoyed taking care of her children and grandchildren. Marie will be sadly missed by her family, friends, and those who cared for her these last few years.
