Margot "Marge" (Brendel) Teti

“Returned home to heaven” on Monday, Jan 8, 2024. Marge was born in Pittsburgh and raised on Mt. Washington. Daughter of the late Joseph Brendel and Grace (Crawford) Brendel. She graduated from St. Mary’s of the Mount. Upon graduation Marge worked for Equitable Gas until she married her beloved husband, Ronald “Ron” Teti. With her husband she was part owner of Jose’ & Tony’s Mexican Restaurant from 1969 to 1997. Marge was an avid Pittsburgh Penguin hockey fan and “hockey mom”.  Her world revolved around her grandchildren’s many hockey, baseball and volleyball games, and many plays, violin and singing concerts and ballets. Marge was a member of Silver Sneakers at the JCC-South Hills where she exercised with her many “treasured” friends. Her family will be forever grateful for how they kept her youthful and full of energy until covid. Marge leaves behind her 4 children, Tom (Betsy), Kathy ‘Katy’, Mike (Denise), and Dave (Heather) Teti.  Six grandchildren, Andrew, Julia, Mike, Maura, Ashley, and Ben. Two great grandchildren, Eleanor and Charles plus many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and beloved husband she was preceded in death by her two brothers, Joseph (Regina) and Hue Brendel. Family and friends are welcome Monday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., WILLIAM SLATER II FUNERAL SERVICE, 1650 Greentree Rd., Scott Twp., 15220 (412-563-2800) Mass of Christian Burial 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, in St. John Capistran Church, Resurrection Parish. The family requests memorial tributes take the form of contributions to St. Jude’s Children Hospital. Marge’s family would like to thank the kind and compassionate nurses at St. Clair Hospital and Gallagher Hospice nurses and all who celebrated mom’s life and assisted our Mom/Gram on her transition home to Heaven. We will forever be grateful.
