Margaret Seiss

December 15, 1925 — June 23, 2024

Scott Township

Margaret (“Marge” or “Margie”) Seiss of Scott Township passed away peacefully on June 23, 2024 at the age of 98. She leaves behind her children William Seiss (Kathleen), Gary Seiss, and Mary Lynn Ocvirk (Ron), her grandchildren Nicole Pazak (Steve), Billy Seiss (Katie), Danielle Seiss, Jacque Ludwig (Tristan), Ashley Stockley (Sean) and Lexi Esquire (Nick), nine great-grandchildren (and another on the way), and her nephew Paul Bell (Sandy). She was preceded in death by her beloved husband William Seiss, and her siblings Albert Meiser and Emilie Bell.

Marge was born on December 15, 1925 to the late Albert and Emma Meiser. She grew up in the Pittsburgh neighborhood of Arlington, and was a graduate of South Hills High School. Her zest for life was evident through her diverse passions, from attending Broadway shows to cooking while singing and dancing to classics from Frank Sinatra and Judy Garland. She had a remarkable gift for making family, friends and strangers feel welcome through her stories and jokes, always leaving them smiling. She was the most loving mother, wife, grandmother, and aunt. Her humor, huge heart, and ability to make everyone she met feel special will be missed by all.

To honor her memory, in lieu of flowers, we think Marge would love if you considered supporting the Pittsburgh Civic Light Opera (Pittsburgh CLO, 719 Liberty Ave., Pittsburgh, PA 15222) (https://pittsburghclo.culturaldistrict.org) or donating to a charity of your choice.

Visitation and services are private and family only. Arrangements entrusted to WILLIAM SLATER II FUNERAL SERVICE, 1650 Greentree Rd., Scott Twp., 15220 (412-563-2800) www.slaterfuneral.com
