Margaret Capell Sadler

Of Pittsburgh, went to heaven on August 18, 2012, her 50th wedding anniversary to William J. Sadler. Maggie loved people. Her life was spent showing the love of Christ to everyone and especially to the needy, the burdened, and the hurting. She is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh in Education and earned a MS in Adult and Community Education from Eastern Michigan University. Among her major accomplishments were the direction of the Hunterdon Helpline in New Jersey and the initiation of the Charitable Development Office at the Christian Medical College and Hospital in Vellore, India. She is survived by her husband Bill; her son Will, his wife Kirsten; and her granddaughter Veronica. She was the oldest child of Robert Goode and Elizabeth Yerg Capell; two brothers, Peter Capell of Pittsburgh and John Capell of Los Angeles, survive their sister. A celebration of the golden anniversary and the life of this beloved woman was held on August 18 at Community House Presbyterian Church.
