Magdalen "Lynne" Cecilia Spreng

Age 83, of Mt. Lebanon, formerly of Troy Hill.  Lynne passed away on Thursday, July 6, 2023 at Asbury Heights in Mt. Lebanon, PA.  Daughter of the late Dorothy Guehl Spreng of Troy Hill and the late Joseph Charles Spreng of Millvale.  Sister of Ann Spreng Puzzini-Meyer and the late Francis J. (Frank) (Skipper) Spreng, MBA, PhD, J.D.; sister-in-Law of Jane Spreng; loving aunt of Elizabeth Puzzini Glantz, Cmdr. US Coast Guard Reserve Frank A. (Patricia) Puzzini, Jennifer Spreng J.D. LLM, and Emily Spreng (Dennis) Lowery.  She is also survived by nine great nieces and nephews, Anthony Puzzini, James (Andrea) Glantz, Frank Puzzini III, Matthew Puzzini, Rose Puzzini, Joseph Puzzini, Sean Lowery, Christopher Lowery and Conall Lowery, and her five great - great nieces, Sophia Ann Puzzini, Elena Puzzini, Aria Glantz, Ava Glantz, and Annalise Glantz.

She was lovingly cared for the past nine years by her niece, Elizabeth Puzzini Glantz and her great nephew, Anthony Puzzini.   

Lynne graduated from Mount Mercy College, now Carlow College.  She taught School in Pittsburgh and Los Angeles, CA.  She returned to Pittsburgh and received a Master of Science in Professional Leadership, from Carlow College, in 2001.  Following her return to Pittsburgh, she traveled extensively and worked part time as a Certified Cruise Consultant until her retirement.  

She belonged to the South Hills Chapter of The Women’s Business Network, Inc. and was active in the Most Holy Name School, Troy Hill, Alumni Association.  

All are welcome Thursday, July 20th from 2-4 and 6-8 in WILLIAM SLATER II FUNERAL SERVICE, 1650 Greentree Rd., Scott Twp., (412-563-2800).  A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, July 21st at 10 A.M. in St. Michael the Archangel Parish, St. Bernard Church, 311 Washington Rd, Pittsburgh, PA 15216.  Interment at St.  Mary’s Cemetery, Reserve Township. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to St.  Anthony Chapel, 1600 Harpster St., Pittsburgh, PA, 15212.
