Mae (Battle) Wheeler

Age 91, of Scott Twp., passed away on Saturday, August 28, 2021. Preceded in death by her late husband, David Wheeler and her first husband, Roy V. Carroll, who she spent the last 12 years of her life with. Dear mother of Cindy (John) DeMerlis, Mary Beth Carroll (Matthew Rehm), and Christine Carroll. Loving grandmother of Ryan (Jackie) DeMerlis, Caitlin DeMerlis, Kelsey DeMerlis, Maxwell Rehm and Clayton Rehm. Great-grandmother of Aria DeMerlis. Sister of Edward Battle and the late Helen Dunlap, James Battle, Dan Battle, Urban Battle and Monica Barry. Also survived by many beloved nieces and nephews. Friends know her as life of the party, commanding a room upon her enterance. She will be remembered always for her signature laugh and white, sparkly sequin outfits. She possessed the art of conversation and enjoyed talking to everyone. Her passion for travel took her to many exotic locations around the world. Her proudest accomplishment was earning her Masters degree from Duquesne University later in life. She passed quietly and peacefully surrounded by her three loving daughters.
