Louisa Mae Zadecky

Louisa Mae Zadecky entered eternal rest on Friday, September 20, 2024. She courageously battled a degenerative illness for several years. 

She is survived by her devoted husband of 56 years, Dr. Leonard Zadecky and her loving family of four children; Leslie (Dave) Harnish of Concord, NC., Louis (Anna) Zadecky of Greensburg, PA., Leo (Julie) Zadecky of Olney, MD., and Loren (Megan) Zadecky of Mt. Lebanon, PA.; nine grandchildren: Declan, William, Veronica, Henry, Grace; Meghan, Ethan, Dominic and Cameron and her brother Kenneth Wilson of Pittsburgh, PA. 

She is preceded in death by her parents Kenneth Wilson and Hermina (Sauritch) Wilson of Charleroi, PA and her sister, Mary Joyce Wilson of Pittsburgh, PA.

Louisa graduated from Mon Valley Catholic High School (1963) and Seton Hill College (1968) with a bachelor’s degree in European History. 

Louisa was a passionate educator and taught as a full time and substitute teacher in multiple parochial and public schools. 

She loved to travel with her husband, family and friends during her retirement years. She was an amazing wife, friend, mother, cook, baker, quilter and seamstress. 

Family and Friends welcome on Thursday, September 26, 2024, from 2 to 4 PM and 6 to 8 PM. WILLIAM SLATER II FUNERAL SERVICE (412-563-2800) 1650 Greentree Rd., Scott Twp. 15220. Funeral Mass will be held On Friday, September 27th at 10:00 am  Our Lady Grace Church, St. Michael the Archangel Parish, 310 Kane Blvd, Pittsburgh, PA 15243.

Burial will be held at later date at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.
