Louis Edward Lomis, 87, died peacefully in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on December 16th, 2016 of natural causes. Lou was born on May 14th, 1929 in Clairton, PA. He was the loving son of John Lomis and Susan Mayer-Lomis. After high school, Lou enlisted in the U.S. Army and diligently served his country in Korea. Upon returning home Lou completed a technical engineering degree in the burgeoning field of radio and television broadcasting. He went on to enjoy a four-decade career with Westinghouse Broadcasting, and its CBS affiliate, KDKA Channel 2, in Pittsburgh. Lou will be remembered for the warmth and genuineness of his personality, the dedication and love he had for his now deceased wife of fifty years, Anna Marie, a unique sense of humor and the endless love and guidance he showered upon his children and grandchildren.
Lou is survived by his four children: Susan(William Franz), Edward(Rose), Thomas(Debbie) and Mary(Greg Fazio). Eleven grandchildren: Heather(Joe), Sean, Mark(Jen), Jordan, Jessica, Alicia, Alana, Kaitlin, Elisabeth, Marissa, Maria, and two great grandchildren, Hannah and Molly.
