Age 86, of Mt. Lebanon, passed away on Thursday, May 25, 2017. Beloved husband of 28 years of Renee B. (Bertini) Grippo; loving father of Jennifer N. Grippo, James Grippo, Louis J. (Connie Sissalaar), Grippo, Jr., Jodi (Rick) Watling, Janice (Lindel) Hodge, Cynthia (David) Robbins, and the late Debbie Grippo; beloved son of the late James P. and Clara (Palaoro) Grippo; loving brother of Margaret Jean Faust and the late Anna Mae (John F.) Lewandowski; also survived by many grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Lou served as a Lieutenant in the U.S. Marine Corps, earning his wings as a Fighter Pilot with the Elite Force. He graduated from Duquesne University Law School as a trial lawyer. He then purchased the Oyster House in 1970 and expanded it to nine locations in Pittsburgh and the surrounding area.
