Died in Nashville, TN, on May 5th, 2020 after a decades long battle with addiction. Born on June 4th, 1969, Lisa grew up in suburban Pittsburgh and graduated from South Fayette High School and Point Park University. Although illness kept many people from truly knowing and appreciating Lisa, her family will forever hold her in loving memory as someone who gave generously and laughed heartily. She was quick to say, "I love you," and slow to voice anger. Lisa was an avid reader -- downright militant about her Sunday papers - who loved animals, Middle Eastern food, and music from a broad range of genres. She hated her addiction and attempted rehabilitation at least 10 times, most recently within the final year of her life. Lisa was preceded in death by her father, Patrick Joseph Hagerty and is survived by her children; mother, Rose Ann Hagerty; sister, Jennifer Hagerty Lingler; brother-in-law, Conan Wayne Lingler; nieces, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Lisa is now at peace. Her life will be celebrated in a private ceremony. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Renewal House (renewalhouse.org) or Minding Hearts (mendingheartsinc.org). Arrangements entrusted to the care of WILLIAM SLATER II FUNERAL SERVICE, 1650 Greentree Rd., Pittsburgh, PA 15220. www.slaterfuneral.com
