Linda Sue (Comito) Kennedy

Linda Sue (Comito) Kennedy, a resident of Upper St. Clair, passed away on October 10, 2018 at Concordia of the South Hills in Pittsburgh, PA at the age of 67 after an intense battle with cancer.

Linda was born on February 13, 1951 in Fort Wayne, Indiana to Gene and Marian Comito. Raised in New Haven, Indiana, Linda graduated from Ball State University in 1973. Linda met her husband, Richard Kennedy, at Ball State, and they married in 1974. Linda and Rick had been married for 44 years.

Linda's true passion has always been teaching. Mrs. Kennedy, as her students knew her, most recently taught 4th grade at St. Thomas More School, in Pittsburgh, before retiring in 2016 after 23 years of teaching. She is remembered at St. Thomas More School for her dedication to her students, the education process, and her faith. She repeatedly was greeted with hugs from her former students.

Linda was never without a smile and a kind word, and she had the wonderful ability to make and retain friends over her lifetime. She inspired warmth, love and laughter in all who met her, and her friends were an important part of her life and she in theirs.

Linda's love and support for her family had no bounds. She will always be remembered and loved by her husband Rick, by her sons Jeff and Matt, by her daughters-in-law Aisha and Dana, by her grandchildren Autumn and Dylan, by her brother Ron and his wife Jan, and all of her extended family.

Linda will also be fondly remembered by her friends, her students, the parishioners of St. Thomas More and all the lives she has brightened throughout the years.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday St. Thomas More 10 am. EVERYONE PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH. Interment at Queen at Heaven Cemetery in McMurray, PA.
