Lilly Bedo

93, Resident of Mt. Lebanon for 51 years. Born in Hungary to Irene and Armin Hajdu; married to Andrew Bedo for 63 years; beloved mother of George Andrew Bedo ( Connie Schwartz- Bedo); dear nagymama to Jessica Bedo, Emily Fitzpatrick ( Michael) and Daniel Bedo ( Molly); dade- nagymama of Dominick and Connor. She is also survived by her loving niece, Melinda, who lives in Bat Yam, Israel and whose son is named after her deceased brother Tibor (Tom) who assisted her family in escaping from Hungary in 1956. Lilly immigrated to the US in 1958 from Paris after surviving the Holocaust and Russian occupation where her husband joined US Steel as a Metallurgical Engineer. Lilly enjoyed concerts and opera and taught French for a short time at a Mt. Lebanon private school. She was a fabulous cook and pastry maker. She was always a lady and adored and respected by all who knew here. A service will be held at the Mt. Lebanon Cemetery Mausoleum, 509 Washington Road, Mt. Lebanon at 11 AM Thursday, May 16.
