Letitia "Tish" Chappell Goodman

Age 86, of Upper St. Clair, passed away on Tuesday, September 23, 2025 after a graceful battle with cancer. She was the loving wife of the late John R. Goodman; beloved mother of Brian C. Goodman (Karin) and Bruce J. Goodman; cherished grandmother of Michelle Goodman and Bruce J. Goodman Jr.; sister of Robert E. Chappell (Marsha), Hugh K. Chappell (Ruth), and the late Charles L. Chappell (the surviving Denise) and William Chappell. She is also survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews. Tish was a registered nurse for over 40 years, working primarily at St. Clair Hospital. Some of her favorite hobbies included traveling, playing bridge, walking, and reading. Since 2019, Tish read over 16,000 books. She was also an avid Elvis Presley fan. Tish was also involved with many organizations including her community senior groups as well as the Southwestern Pennsylvania Registered Nurses Club. Above everything, Tish loved her family.

She will be greatly missed and will be remembered as an amazing, intelligent, caring, and very supporting woman who touched the lives of many people.

Tish’s family would like to thank the staff at the Hemsley House of Upper St. Clair for their loving and compassionate care.

All are welcome on Friday, September 26, 2025 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM, FREYVOGEL-SLATER FUNERAL DIRECTORS, 112 Fort Couch Rd., 412-835-1860 (Opposite Macy's South Hills Village). Service and interment will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
