Leo James McIntyre

Of North Strabane-North Strabane Township, died Monday, October 9, 2017, in his home that he made with his son, Leo and family. He attended Pittsburgh Public schools. He was a former member of the Eagles Club #76 in Mt. Washington where he was the golf champion several times. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially traditional trips to Pymatuning Lake, fishing, golfing, playing poker, watching game shows, sports, horse racing and wagering on the horse races. He was well known for his jokes and funny antics. He is survived by his children, Jamie Glendenning (Michael), Leo McIntyre, Jr. (Heather) and David McIntyre (Melissa) and stepson, Freedom Greely (Amber). His grandchildren, Keely Glendenning, Kolby Glendenning, Keirsten Glendenning, Kamryn Glendenning, Leo Adam McIntyre, Liam McIntyre, Thomas Wormsley, Alicia Venditti (Anthony), Brendan McIntyre, Declan McIntyre, Tearney Greely and Freedom Greely; great-granddaughters, Christina Venditti, Haleigh Venditti; sisters, Bea Brobeck (Bill) and Mary Gold; brother, Richard McIntyre; and sister-in-law, Mary Wilson; and many loved nieces and nephews. Deceased are his parents; brothers, Peter McIntyre (Ann), Gerald McIntyre (Jeanie), Mate McIntyre, David Wilson; and a granddaughter, Leah Glendenning. Family and friends welcome Friday 2-8 p.m. WM. SLATER & SONS, INC., 301 Virginia Ave., Mt. Washington 15211 (412-381-3345), where a Funeral Service will be Friday evening 8 p.m. Burial will be private to the family.
