LaVerne Bernice Kader

LaVerne Bernice Kader, 94, of Pittsburgh, passed away Friday, February 20, 2026. She was born on June 2, 1931, to Stanley and Bernice (Jagello) Czarniecki. LaVerne shared a beautiful and devoted marriage of 65 years with her beloved husband, Robert John Kader. Their love story was one of loyalty, laughter, and unwavering partnership. She found joy in the simple and meaningful things in life. LaVerne loved sewing, gardening, and crocheting. LaVerne had a fun and spirited side too. With her trusty rotary phone in hand, she was very lucky at winning radio station call-ins. Above all, LaVerne was devoted to her Family and poured her heart into her home and the people she loved the most. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children; Stan Kader, Mary Kader- O’Connell, Teresa (Joseph) Novakowski, loving Nana to Sean (Monica Miller) O’Connell, Ryan, Shannon and Kelli O’Connell, lifelong friend to Jacqueline (Bruno) Bretti. Jacqueline was always just a phone call away, ready to listen, laugh, or offer comfort. Their conversations were filled with stories, shared memories, and the kind of understanding that only true friendship brings.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son in law, Daniel O’Connell, siblings; Francis Czarniecki, Eugene Czarniecki, Dolores Radzanowski, and Daniel Czarniecki. She will remain forever in our hearts.
