Laura A. (Cortese) Landy

Laura (Cortese) Landy, age 66 of Scott Twp. passed away peacefully on July 15th, 2023. 

Beloved wife of the late Lawrence J. Landy, Daughter of the late James A. and Rose M. Cortese. Daughter in law of the late John Francis and Marie (Griffin) Landy. Loving mother to Ryan James (Ariella) Landy, and Kevin Francis Landy. Beloved Nani to Chase Lawrence Landy. Dear sister to Elisa (Joseph) Perotti, James Cortese, and Joseph (Tracey) Cortese. Sister in law of the late Jackie Landy, Patrick Landy, and Timothy (Beverly) Landy, and survived by Maureen (late Roger) Morgan, Daniel (Barbara) Landy, Kevin (Kelly Jo) Landy, and Michael (Michaelene) Landy. Aunt of many nieces and nephews and loving doggy grandmother to Casey and Penny. 

Laura’s greatest joys came from her family, friends, and most of all her first grandson Chase Lawrence. The love that everyone felt was contagious. 

Laura always wore her heart on her sleeve, which showed in the strong bonds she made with the people she cared about most. She took pride in helping others in both her personal life and professional life as a medical assistant.

Whether it was at the ball field, Hilton Head Island, or lounging around the house; Laura was always ready with a smile and welcoming heart. 

Family and friends welcome Thursday, 2-8pm in WILLIAM SLATER II FUNERAL SERVICE (412-563-2800) 1650 Greentree Rd. Scott Twp., 15220. Mass of Christian burial Friday, 10am in St. Catherine of Siena Church, St. Teresa of Kolkata Parish, burial to follow in Queen of Heaven cemetery.
