Kay E. Boyan

Of Bethel Park, surrounded by family on December 2, 2023. Beloved wife to the late Steven W. Boyan. Mother to Susan (Stephen) Totin, Robert Boyan, and Christopher (Annick) Boyan. Grandmother to Stephen J. Totin, Sarah (Damon) McIntyre, and Max Boyan. Great grandmother to Leia, Natalia, Zalayma and Joshua. Sister to the late Maryanne Katusin, the late Richard Edgell, Patricia Sevick, Thomas Edgell, Susan Kostishack and William Edgell. 

A proud graduate of Bethel Park High School, Kay was a cherished member of the original Bethettes, where her spirit of camaraderie thrived. Her commitment to faith was evident through her many years as a devoted member of Berean Church. Kay's spiritual journey led her to obtain a minister's license through FCF International, a testament to her deep-rooted faith and desire to serve others. Beyond her spiritual pursuits, Kay embraced the beauty of self-discovery, teaching herself to play the guitar, weaving melodies that echoed the rhythm of her soul. As a dedicated stay-at-home mom, she prioritized her family's well-being until each child had completed their education. Later, Kay extended her nurturing care to the community through her work at Three Rivers Health and Nutrition, where her compassion touched the lives of many. Her artistic talents were not confined to music; she also displayed a remarkable skill in crafting silk flower arrangements, turning simple blooms into works of art. 

Family and friends welcome Tuesday, 2-4 and 6-8 pm in FREYVOGEL SLATER FUNERAL DIRECTORS (412-835-1860) 112 Fort Couch Rd., Bethel Park, 15241, (Opposite Macy’s South Hills Village). Funeral Service Wednesday, 11 AM in Berean Church, Scott Township. Burial will be private to the family in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.
