Kathleen A. Taylor

Age 80, of Bethel Park, formerly of Scott Twp., on Saturday, May 4, 2024.  Beloved daughter of the late Charles and Lucille (Mullen) Taylor.  Dear sister of Patricia (Louis) Connell.  Loving aunt of Christopher (Katy), and Joseph (Tara) Connell and grandnephews, Sean and Aidan Connell.  Kathy was a mathematics professor at Duquesne University for 39 years.   Kathy was a former president of the Faculty Senate and served on Mathematics Association of America, Allegheny Mountain Section and received a Meritorious Service Award for serving many elected offices.  She was an active member of St. Margaret of Scotland Church where she was a Eucharistic Minister.  She also participated in the PALS program, taking people to medical appointments.    She loved animals, especially her dachshunds.  Family and friends are welcome to a Memorial Mass of Christian Burial, 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 22, 2024, in St. Margaret of Scotland Church, 310 Mansfield Ave., Pittsburgh, 15220.  Interment private.  If desired, memorial donations may be sent to St. Raphael the Archangel Parish or Animal Friends, 562 Camp Horne Rd., Pittsburgh, 15237.  Arrangements entrusted to WILLIAM SLATER II FUNERAL SERVICE, Scott Twp., 15220.
