Joyce A. Olander

Age 80, of Green Tree, passed away at her home on Monday, May 20, 2024. Beloved wife of the late David S. Olander; loving mother of David S. (Kris) Olander Jr., Jeffrey A. (the late Heather Summers) Olander, and Shari A. (Keith) Bittel; cherished grandmother of Jordan A., Madison L., Jenna A., Mackenzie J. Olander, Hannah E., and Haley A. Bittel; sister of Shirley Donato (the late Abe); also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. 

Joyce will be fondly remembered for hosting holiday gatherings, her willingness to offer her expert seamstress skills, and her love of reading a good book in the summer sunshine.

Her family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Liberty Dialysis Banksville and her oncologist, Dr. Vincent Reyes, and his nurses and staff for the excellent, compassionate care provided to Joyce over the past 14 years. The family cherishes the extra time they were afforded with Joyce. 

The family would also like to thank Vitas Healthcare for the hospice care Joyce received over the past week and Furkid Rescue from which Joyce’s beloved dog, Sidney, came from. Sidney was her faithful companion for many years.

Services will be held privately.
