Joyce A. Horgan

Of Pittsburgh, age 69, passed peacefully on December 3, 2013. Beloved wife of the late John (Jack) Horgan; loving mother of John J. Horgan and wife Jessica Quinn-Horgan, Johanna Horgan Beatty and husband David Beatty; proud grandmother of Rowan and Madeleine Horgan and Kade Marsh, Jackson and Savannah Beatty. Joyce was also preceded in death by her parents, John and Johanna Advent; and her brother Robert Advent. Besides her immediate family, Joyce leaves a large extended family and network of friends who will greatly miss her friendship, humour, intelligence and zest of life. Joyce was a graduate of Carlow University, Carnegie Mellon University and the University of Pittsburgh. Prior to retiring Joyce served as Vice President of Finance for Mellon Bank in Pittsburgh. In her retirement, Joyce enjoyed spending time at the ocean at her home in Navarre, FL, reading, gardening and being with her family, friends and grandchildren.
