Josephine A. “JoAnn” Rocco-Baker

Age 79, of Scott Twp., passed away peacefully on Monday, January 5, 2026, surrounded by her family. Beloved wife of James P. Baker. Dear mother of Nicole (Ken Wregget), Kristen (B.J.) Elk and the late Melissa Baker. Loving grandmother of Katelyn Goldstrom, Morgan Goldstrom, Jared Goldstrom, Colton Koza, Brooklyn Koza, James Elk, Gabriella Elk, and Kerrington Elk. Sister of Theresa Evonich, August (Lenette) Rocco Jr., and Ronald (Wendy) Rocco. Josephine was a graduate of St. Thomas High School, Braddock, PA. She received her Masters in Nursing and a Masters in Nursing Education from Duquesne University. She worked for many years as a professional nurse at South Side Hospital, St. Francis Hospital and Central Medical. She became a Medical Nurse Educator for Washington Health System, from where she retired. JoAnn enjoyed exercising whether in the gym or cycling on one of the various bike trails. Her love for traveling took her to many countries and fabulous experiences. Her greatest joy was spending time with her eight grandchildren, with family gatherings and holiday celebrations.
