It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Joseph Molinaro, who departed this life on Wednesday, August 13, 2025, with his beloved family by his side.
Born in Gizzeria, Calabria, Italy, Joseph came to the United States in 1955, making his home in the neighborhoods of Beechview and Brookline, Pittsburgh, where he built a life rooted in love, hard work, and family. He was the cherished son of the late Giovanni and Caterina Molinaro.
Joseph was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Carmela Ianchello Molinaro, and a loving father to Peter (Elizabeth), Joseph, and Caterina. He was immensely proud of his grandchildren—Anthony, Samantha, Joseph, Lia, and Elena.
A loyal brother, Joseph is survived by his brother Antonio (Luisa) Molinaro, and is preceded in death by his brother Pietro (Elizabeth) and sister Filomena (Michele). He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews, all of whom held a special place in his heart.
Joseph shared a deep bond with his best friend and loyal dog, Gio, who never left his side.
Joseph will be remembered for his strength, quiet wisdom, and the enduring love he had for his family. His legacy lives on through the values he instilled, the stories he shared, and the example he set for all who knew him.
