Age 86, of Carnegie, unexpectedly passed away at home on Thursday, February 12, 2015. Beloved husband of 62 years to Mary (Luczak) Shiwarski; loving father of Ron (Debbie) Shiwarski and Gary (Marianne) Shiwarski of Robinson; dear Pap to Krista (Ryan) Campbell, Daniel (Cary) Shiwarski, Ashley, Heather, and Shaina Shiwarski;great grandfather to Carolyn (Piper) Shiwarski; survived by many nieces and nephews; and beloved friend, Jean Kincak; son of the late Nicholas and Eva Shiwarski. Preceded in death by his brothers, Michael (Irene), Stephen (Anne) and Nicholas (Elsie) Shiwarski; sisters, Ann (Tom) Duda and Mary (Jack) Wenger. John was employed at S.P. Kinney Engineers in Carnegie for over 40 years. He was a member of the Aeroworkers and Machinists Union. A Veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corps in the Pacific, stationed in the Philippines. A man of strong faith, he was an original member of Holy Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Church in Carnegie and a lifelong member of the Ukrainian American Citizen's Club. John loved sports, especially watching the Pittsburgh Pirates. John was an avid golfer with two holes-in-one in his playing days and a past member of Seven Oaks Country Club in Beaver. A good bowler, softball pitcher, and dancer in his day. John enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, visiting his friends at the Ukes Club, completing his daily crossword puzzles, and watching Judge Judy on TV.
