John J. Massung

John Joseph Massung, age 69, of Mount Washington, passed away peacefully surrounded by his children on October 31, 2025. Son of the late Sylvester and Celeste (Deigan) Massung. Loving father of Melissa (David Kormick) Massung, and John Massung. Beloved brother of Patricia ( John) Newman, and Joanne (George) Loughry. Devoted grandfather of Cheyenne Kormick, and the late Phoebe Kormick. John is also survived by his extended family and friends.

An avid sports fan, John had a deep love for Pittsburgh's sports teams, often found cheering passionately at games, celebrating victories, and enduring losses alongside fellow fans. John also found solace and joy in gardening, where he nurtured beautiful plants that mirrored his caring nature.In his quieter moments, John had a preference for horror movies and the classic rock music of the 50's and 60s'.
