John Michael Kennedy of Pittsburgh, PA died peacefully surrounded by family on Friday, December 26, 2025. Son of the late John F. Kennedy and Marie Kennedy, John grew up in Greenfield and attended Central Catholic High School and Duquesne University. “Junior” was a multi-sport athlete, playing both basketball and baseball at the collegiate level. Beloved husband of 48 years to Rita (Modzelewski), proud father of Sean and Ryan (Michele), loving grandfather “Jack” to Connor, Maria, and Dante. John was an avid golfer, and lifelong fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers, Duquesne Dukes, and Central Catholic Vikings.
