Age 89, of Scott Township, and Collier Township, on Friday, August 25, 2017. Beloved husband for 64 years of Grace (Brownhill); proud father of Cathy (Art) Kifer and Ruane (John) Lindh; loving grandfather of Sean Kifer, Dr. Brionna (Joe) Matt, Hannah, Halle and Bobby Lindh; dear uncle of Barbara (Carmine) Scotece, Tom Snyder, Grace (Adam) Mihlfried, Paul (Pam), Mark (Emily) and Bill (Robin) Brownhill; also survived by his four-legged friend, Shu Shu. Preceded in death by one brother F. Vincent Kane; and one sister, Mary Snyder. Bob was a WWII Navy veteran. He was a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh and retired after 35 years with US Steel. He was the owner of the Forget Me Not Shoppe and also the Peddlers, which were both Hallmark gift stores. Bob enjoyed coffee and conversation at Panera, visits to the Bottleshop, family dinners and conversations shared with family and friends. He loved to have parties and was a great host to all. Bob will always be remembered for his smile, blue eyes and kind words to all.
