Age 79, of Collier Twp., formerly of Whitehall, died peacefully on Saturday, January 12, 2013. Beloved husband of Evelyn (Sparacino); loving father of John, Jr. (Judy), Jeffrey (Michele), and Michael (Rosemary) Guerriero; cherished grandfather of Matthew, Alex, Tara, Jeffrey, Anthony, Jennifer and Jessica; great-grandfather of Anthony, Ashlee and Angelina; dear brother of Kathleen (William) Kirby, Ann Galvez, Carol (Frank) Dasta, James (Veronica) Guerriero and the late Patricia (Henry) Bolinda; son of the late James and Adaline Guerriero. John was a retired agent from the John Hancock Insurance Company winning many awards for his salesmanship. He ushered for the Pittsburgh Pirates, Steelers and Pitt football. John also volunteered at St. Clair Hospital, reaching over 100 hours of service. He was active at the VFW #1810 and served in the VFW Funeral Guard. John also marched in his Army uniform in the Brentwood Veterans Day and Memorial Day parades. He was a Korean War veteran and remained very patriotic throughout his life. John had a wonderful sense of humor that his family and friends enjoyed. He was loved by his sisters-in-law, Mary Baiardo, Joanne (Vincent) Palmiere; and brother-in-law, Tony (Petrina) Sparacino. He had many loving nieces, nephews and great friends that will miss him dearly. Friends welcome Monday 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. at WILLIAM SLATER II FUNERAL SERVICE, 1650 Greentree Road, Scott Twp.
