Age 83, of Bethel Park, on Friday, September 13, 2013. Beloved husband for 62 years of Martha (Legas); loving father of Gemma Greiner-Holeczy, Galen J. (Eileen) Greiner and Christal (Christopher) Greiner-Chaney; proud grandfather of Alexia (Matt) Rozmus-Mogavero, Montana Rozmus, Maximus Chaney, Mariel Chaney, Caroline Greiner, Courtney Greiner and Emmeline Chaney; great-grandfather of Gunnar Mogavero; brother of the late Loretta Miller and Irma Zinski. John graduated from South High School in 1948, University of Pittsburgh in 1954. He then enlisted in the USMC and served active duty for six years and 23 years in the Reserves, where he became the commanding officer of the Oakland Reserve Unit. During which time he graduated from the Army War College in Carlisle, PA. He started a career in the financial industry in 1959, where he worked at Cunninham and Schmertz and was named president in 1985. John also served as the president of the Pittsburgh Bond Club. He then worked for Parker Hunter from 1989 until he retired in 2005.
