Age 56, of Mt. Lebanon, died unexpectedly on August 13, 2020. Beloved husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend. Jeff graduated from Case Western Reserve University and Carnegie Mellon University with degrees in Electrical Engineering and worked as an electrical engineer for 34 years. He was a musician, playing electric bass in several bands over the years. He wrote songs and loved music of all kinds. Jeff loved nature and the outdoors and was most at peace hiking or backpacking in the woods, especially the national forests of Pennsylvania and West Virginia.
But most of all, Jeff loved his family and was a devoted father to his daughter Sylvie. He cherished spending time with her laughing and playing games, both serious and silly. Jeff loved to travel and explore nature and some of his favorite memories were of traveling to Mexico, France, and Italy, as well as of family trips to Iceland, the Berkshires, Marin County, and Niagara Falls. He leaves behind his devoted wife of 20 years, Karen Eriksen; daughter, Sylvie Eriksen; father, Jack Stringer and his wife, Marci of Akron, Ohio; brother, Mark Stringer of Des Moines, Iowa; sister, Nancy Stringer of Los Angeles, California; and six nieces. He was predeceased by his mother, Janet Stringer.
