Born Lois Jeane Speakman, Jeane passed away on December 5, 2020 at the age of 96. She was the beloved wife of the late William "Bill" Varuola for 56 years. Mother of Bill (the late Charlotte), Norm (Edie), Jeanine (the late Greg) Szalinski, Don (Margie), and Laura (Roy) Arthrell. She had 13 grandchildren and a gaggle of great grandchildren. Born in Brushton, she and her family lived in Wilkinsburg for over 40 years where she and Bill were members of Calvary Lutheran Church and the AARP #602 singers. Moving to Monroeville and then Concordia of the South Hills, Jeane always remained active and lived her life to the fullest on her own terms. We rejoice in the knowledge that she has joined her parents J. Wade and Lucy Speakman, her 10 siblings, and her husband in eternal life. Visitation was private. Jeane and Bill will be interred together in Restland Memorial Park in Monroeville. Arrangements entrusted to William Slater II Funeral Service, Scott Twp.
