Jean Ann Tchirkow

Jean Ann Tchirkow, 70, passed away on August 17, 2024. Born on November 14, 1953, in Pittsburgh, Jean Ann was the loving daughter of the late Edgar and Ann Tchirkow, of Mt. Lebanon. Jean Ann led a happy and inspiring life, filled with love and joy. She graduated from Mt. Lebanon High School and was a devoted parishioner of St. Winifred Church and later Ss. Simon and Jude Church. 

Jean Ann found a second home at Mainstay Life Services in Scott Township, PA, where she became a beloved resident after the passing of her parents. Jean Ann was dedicated to her work with Achieva and Cintas, and in recent years, she enjoyed an active retirement with wonderful excursions and activities. She loved dancing, listening to the oldies, watching her favorite soap operas, shopping, voting, watching Steelers games and keeping in touch with her nieces and nephews.

Known for her bright demeanor and delightful sense of humor, Jean Ann adored everything pink and red. She enjoyed activities like painting, chorus, and cooking with friends. Her passion for life and resilient spirit were infectious, and she cherished time spent with her family, fellow residents, and her beloved caregivers.

Jean Ann was preceded in death by her parents, Edgar and Ann Tchirkow, as well as her brother, Peter Tchirkow. She is survived by her brothers, George Tchirkow and Andrew Tchirkow. She was the beloved aunt of nine nieces and nephews and was proud of her 12 great-nieces and great-nephews.

Jean Ann’s positive attitude and joy for life will be remembered by all who knew her. 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, August 31st at 10:00 a.m. at Ss. Simon and Jude Church, St. Raphael the Archangel Parish, 1607 Greentree Rd., Scott Twp. In lieu of flowers, donations in Jean Ann’s memory can be made to Mainstay Life Services (MainstayLifeServices.org), 200 Roessler Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15220.
