Jean E. Reese

Jean E. Reese, 86, of Mt. Washington, passed away surrounded by her family, on Tuesday, February 24, 2026. Jean was the beloved mother of Joe Tulick, Caren Mongiovi, Carol Tulick-Dernosek (Keith), Cheryl Albert, and the late Ricky Tulick. She was lovingly known as “Mama Jean” to the late Sandy Lee Johns. She is also survived by her sisters and brothers, eight grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, many cherished nieces and nephews and her best friend of nearly 60 years, Rose Yost.

Jean was an incredible, natural-born artist whose talent was truly generational.

She had a sharp wit, a wonderful sense of humor, and could both deliver and take a joke. She was steadfast in her ways and unapologetically herself.

A devoted Christian woman, Jean had a deep love for Jesus Christ and a strong knowledge of the Bible. She could teach you scripture if you were willing to listen. She was remarkably intelligent and wise and quick enough to finish Jeopardy questions in record time.

Her door was always open to anyone in need. She had a deep love for animals, especially her late cherished dog, Bo. Tough as nails and resilient beyond measure, Jean defied the odds time and time again. She leaves behind a legacy of strength, faith, laughter, and love that will never be forgotten. She has been called home to the Lord and is reunited in Heaven with her firstborn son, Ricky.

Family and friends are welcome on Sunday, March 1, 2026, from 12:00 noon until the time of service at 4:00 pm, WM. SLATER & SONS INC.
