Jean Casto Hamm passed away peacefully on Monday, February 10, 2025 at the age of 73. Jeanie, as she was known to all, was born July 31, 1951 in Wheeling, West Virginia. Parents Leonard Alvin and Beulah Mae Wilson Casto raised Jeanie, her brothers James and John, and sister Linda. Jeanie served her clients dutifully in the property and casualty as well as risk management insurance industry for nearly 4 decades. Her work ethic and drive were second to none. Jeanie never met a stranger, in any encounter. She loved spending time with Herk and adored her moments with and the opportunity to watch the growth and accomplishments of grandchildren Hailey, Nicholas, Andrew, Ella and Lucy. She was looking forward to the anticipated graduation of eldest granddaughter Hailey from W&J College in the Spring. Mom is survived by husband, Herk Hamm; children, Erin Elizabeth (and Michael) Thomas and Chas Hamm; sister, Linda Casto Armstrong; numerous brothers and sisters in law, cousins, nieces and nephews whom all meant so much to her.
