Age 95 of Mt. Lebanon, PA, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Wednesday, September 22, 2021. Born in Pittsburgh on March 17, 1926, Jean grew up in a small rural community in Collier Township. She graduated from Clark High School in Carnegie, PA where she enjoyed playing intramural sports.
In 1952, Jean Married the love of her life Mario "Bert" Burello in Carnegie, PA. In the early years of their marriage, they lived in several states before moving back to Pittsburgh to raise their family. After retiring to Florida, they returned to Pittsburgh to care for relatives.
Jean was a devoted wife and mother, passionate about her family, cooking, and helping others. Jean was a lifelong member of St. John Lutheran Church. Always athletic, Jean, in her later years, took pleasure in bowling, long brisk walks, and the outdoors. She was also an enthusiastic Penguins hockey fan.
Jean was predeceased by Mario, her beloved husband of 64 years, her dear sister, Dorothy (Ted) Kulick, and her cherished parents, William and Charlotte Reese.
Memories of Jean will live on forever in the hearts of all her friends and family. Much-loved mother of Mark A. Burello and Sandra (Gary) Seeley; adored grandmother of Shannon Seeley (Mike George); beloved aunt of William (Anna) Gombos; Robert Gombos; Linda (Gunter) Ott; Marianne (Mark) Griffiths.
