Age 88, of Scott Twp.. The world lost a devoted servant of the Lord on Saturday, August 25, 2018. Beloved husband of the late Daphne J. (Hargrove); dear father of Michael (Susan) Pella, Michele (Stephen) Hansen, James (Donna), and Cheryl Pella; loving grandfather of Matthew (Sheue), Mia (Rob), Aaron, Danielle, Mike Jr. (Danielle), Owen, Sean, and Collin; devoted and loving great-grandfather of Daphne, Molly, and another blessing on the way; brother of Mary Theresa (Joseph) Capone; uncle of Kim (Bob) Heller; great-uncle of nine; son of the late James V. and Ruth (Berrott) Pella. Jim was a US Marine and a double Purple Heart recipient of the Korean War. He was devoted to his faith, family, and country. During the last few days, when surrounded by his grandchildren, he told them to "stay close to your family, help, love, and support each other, be kind to people, and be a good person," a message he would share with the world.
