James Markovich

James Markovich, 77, of Pittsburgh, PA, passed away on Saturday, June 15, 2024. The son of the late Thomas and Rosalia (Gritz) Markovich, he was born on June 10, 1947. James worked in commercial construction for 50+ years. He enjoyed hunting and camping, but most of all enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Cheryl (Clarke) Markovich; children Matthew (Andrea Hurley) Markovich and their son Grady, and Sarah Markovich and her two children Kylie and William; his brother Thomas (Sandy) Markovich, a sister Rosemary (Walter) Shumaker, and a sister-in-law Jane Markovich, and a niece Kristen Markovich (Tony Pelath). In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, John Markovich and his nephew, Thomas Markovich. A blessing service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, June 22, 2024 at WILLIAM SLATER II FUNERAL SERVICE, 1650 Greentree Rd., Scott Twp., 15220 (412-563-2800), with Fr. James Kunkel, Officiant.
