James F. Lewellyn

James Frederick Lewellyn, age 83, of Carnegie, on Tuesday July 26, 2022. Beloved husband of the late Mary C. (James) Lewellyn; son of the late James and Marie (Augustine) Lewellyn; father of James M. (Jennifer) Lewellyn and the late Marshall (late Cathy) Lewellyn; grandfather of Connor and Caleb Lewellyn; uncle of Marshall Lewellyn, Jr and Melissa (Michael Wardrope) Lewellyn. James had a passion for music, he played in The Fred Shafer Trio for many years. He was an active member of The Pittsburgh Area Theater Organ Society, made stained glass art, tiffany style lamps, and was featured in Allegheny West Magazine in May 2022. His stained-glass artwork has been featured in the Carnegie Library June and July of 2022. Jim’s gregarious personality touched many lives, he treasured his friendships and was always quick with a joke. No matter where he lived, Carnegie was always his home.  Friends welcome 12-3:00pm, WEDNESDAY, WILLIAM SLATER II FUNERAL SERVICE (412-563-2800), 1650 Greentree Rd, Scott Twp 15220.  Funeral Service will follow visitation at 3:00pm. Burial will be in Jefferson Memorial Park.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Alzheimer’s Association - 2835 E Carson St. Suite 200, Pittsburgh, PA 15203.
