James "Jim" W. Border

Age 82, of Carnegie, on Sunday, June 25, 2023. Beloved husband of the late Vivian M. (Cinelli) Border; son of the late Elmer and Helen Border; loving father of Douglas Martin (Christine) Border and Heather Lee Border; dear grandfather of James Martin Border and T.J. Border; and uncle of Nick Niesen. Jim was an elevator contractor with International Union of Elevator Constructors Local # 6 and a staunch supporter of Iron City Beer.  He was a friend to so many that he treated like family and when asked for help, Jim would be there fixing all our mistakes as well as making some of his own while laughing and enjoying the moment. To say he will be greatly missed is an understatement and may we all have a little piece of the "Bruiser" in all of us. All are welcome Thursday, July 6, 2023 from 11 AM until the time of his Blessing Service at 4 PM in WILLIAM SLATER II FUNERAL SERVICE, 1650 Greentree Road, Scott Twp., 412-563-2800. Interment private.
