Age 76, of Mount Lebanon, passed away on Sunday, November 6, 2022. Beloved husband of 42 years to Kathryn (Aloe) Cashman. Loving father of Alex (Amanda) Cashman and Chris (Lindsay) Cashman. Cherished Mac of Charlie, Eleanor, Lillian, Jordan, and Ida Cashman. Beloved son of the late Justin L. Cashman M.D. and Grace E. Gillis M.D.; loving brother of Grace (Joseph M.D.) Corkery and the late Justin (surviving spouse, Sheila M.D.) Cashman and Bruce (surviving spouse, Mary Ann) Cashman. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
After graduating from Brown University and earning his law degree from Duquesne University School of Law, David began his career in private practice and was a partner at Cashman & Cipriani. During this time, he served as the president of the Academy of Trial Lawyers of Allegheny County and on the Board of Governors for the Pittsburgh Athletic Association and St. Clair Country Club. David was appointed and then elected as a Allegheny County Court of Common Pleas Judge, where he proudly served for 33 years. He also held the position of the Administrative Judge of the Criminal Division while on the bench. During his free time, David loved to play a round of golf, but found the most joy from being surrounded by his beloved wife Kathryn, children, and grandchildren.
