Age 58, of Collier Township, on Thursday, December 1, 2016. Leaves behind his wife, love and soulmate of over 32 years, Larisa Waters, along with the joy and purpose of his life, daughters Jennifer and Michelle Waters. He is survived by his mother, Elizabeth Hall Waters; and brothers, Mark and Michael Waters; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and more; preceded in death by his father, Harry W. Waters, Sr.
Any patient was lucky to have Dr. Waters as their anesthesiologist, as he maintained an unblemished record of excellence and always provided care with the same precise and genial qualities he carried through to all aspects of his life. Dr. Waters did not cut corners or allow for the care of his patients to be impeded upon by others. Harry enjoyed playing tennis, playing the piano, and he maintained a healthy respect for the physics behind flight. More than anything, he enjoyed his family life. Harry made the admirable decision to work only part time after his daughters were born. He was a devoted father who was determined to leave life lessons and a desire for learning with his girls. While Harry enjoyed traveling many areas of the world, he was most happy on Beach 7, Presque Isle, Erie with his family in tow. The Courtyard Marriott on Peach Street and the Safari Grille were more relaxing to him than strolling any ship deck or town in Europe. During Presque Isle Days, Connie's Ice Cream was his highlight of the weekend. Harry would often say he resided in Pittsburgh but "lived" in Erie. If he couldn't head to Erie, relaxing on the deck sharing wine and his newspaper would do just fine. Harry had a lot of wonderful traits, yet his greatest ability was to always be fair. With this came also his greatest frustration in life; when others were not fair.
Harry moves on before so much can be touched and enjoyed by him, reminding us all just how unfair life can be. Harry requested that in lieu of flowers donations be made to any of the three listed foundations - Make-A-Wish of Western, PA, St. Jude Chrildren's Research Hospital or Family Hospice and Palliative Care - 50 Moffett St, Pittsburgh, PA 15243. Harry wanted to say thank you to the village that supports his family -- you know who you are. Also thank you to everyone who provided such incredible support of his medical care over the last few years. Harry regretted that he was unable to figure out a way to say thank you to Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals (especially Christine) for making sure Larisa was always able to be available for him and for the family they built together. Please Share beautiful memories Tuesday 3-8 pm and Wednesday 12 Noon until time of service at 2 pm at Williams Slater ll Funeral Service 1650 Greentree Rd, Pittsburgh, PA.
