It is with great sadness that the family of Glenn A. Smith of Mt. Lebanon announces his passing on Thursday, August 2, 2018, at the age of 65 years. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 44 years, Marie (Martinelli); and his children, Jenna (Christopher) Ralston, Jeffrey, and Jeremy; and his sisters, Elizabeth Herman, Mary Lee (John) Cunningham, and Alice Smith. Glenn will also be fondly remembered by is grandchildren, Anna and Henry; his brother-in-law, James Martinelli; and numerous nieces and nephews. Son of the late Elizabeth "Betty" and Glenn Smith, Sr. of Butler, PA, Glenn attended the University of Pittsburgh and graduated with a degree in civil engineering. He worked designing and inspecting bridges for Gannett Fleming for 38 years. He was always home from work in time to be with his family and attend and coach any of his children's sporting or musical events. He was playful with his grandchildren, making them laugh and think that they had the silliest Poppo around. He loved astronomy, classical music and Pitt football and basketball.
