Gertrude U. Kugler 1932-2021 Age 88, of Mt. Lebanon, formerly of Mt. Washington, died peacefully on Thursday, July 1, 2021, in Vincentian Marian Manor, Green Tree, where she currently resided. Born on December 22, 1932, she was the beloved wife of Ralph W. Kugler for 57 years, who preceded her in death in 2013; loving mother of Linda (late Gregory) Fink, John (Natalie) Kugler, Pamela (Steven) Bronco, and her "adopted" son Anthony Torchia, Jr. Gert was the proud grandmother of Brian (Amanda) Fink, Kelsey (Max) Echard, Michael Kugler and Katherine, Abigail and Margaret Bronco, and great grandmother of Cash and Shelby Fink. Gertrude was predeceased by her parents, Albert A. and Gertrude W. Utzig, brothers Albert and Edwin Utzig, sister Arlene Snyder, and a son, Albert J. Kugler. A graduate of the Duquesne University School of Music, Gertrude was a long time officer of Mu Phi Epsilon, professional music fraternity. Gert was a devout catholic and member of St Anne's Church (St. Paul of the Cross Parish), for 54 years. She was a wonderful cook, baker and seamstress as well as a great Mom to all. The family would like to thank the dedicated staff of Vincentian Marian Manor for the care, love and compassion shown to our Mom in her later years.
