George Tyman, 81, currently of Carnegie, formerly of Dormont and Lexington, SC, passed away on Friday January 23, 2026 after a brief illness. Beloved husband of Maureen Williams Tyman, loving father of Jennifer (son-in-law Ryan) Williams, Grant Tyman and his infant daughter in heaven, Allison Alayne Tyman. Also survived by his sisters Kathleen Blassey and Suzanne Kuntz and his bother in law and friend Richard Kuntz. Also many loving and cherished cousins, nieces and nephews. George was raised in Mt. Washington and attended St. Justin's High School Class of 1962. After high school he joined the Air Force and was stationed in Loring, ME. He met his wife Maureen of 55 years and settled in Dormont. Retired from D-bolt Co. in 2006 after 35 years selling bolts, nuts and screws. George and Maureen retired to Lexington, SC for 15 years before returning home to Pittsburgh in 2022. George was always there for a good laugh and no one was a stranger. He will be missed for his infectious good humor and his self proclaimed "good looks." He loved the Steelers, naming airplanes overhead, and calling people a jagoff. Family and friends welcome on Friday, January 30, 2026 from 2:00 pm - 8:00 pm and Saturday, January 31, 2026 from 10:00 am - 12:00 noon at WILLIAM SLATER II FUNERAL SERVICE (412-563-2800) 1650 Greentree Rd.
