82, of Bloomfield, on Tuesday, October 30, 2012. Son of the late George W., Sr. and Margaret Lilburn Taylor; brother of the late William H. Taylor and the late Robert Taylor; brother-in-law of Mary Taylor; uncle of Valerie and William (Marcia) Taylor; great-uncle of Travis, Alexis and Zachary Taylor; cousin of James L. (Lois) Ferson of North Carolina and several cousins in Canada and N. Ireland. He was a 30 year employee of National Valve & Mfg. Company. In 1992, he retired from the Pgh. Board of Education. During the Korean conflict he served in Verdun, France with the U.S. Army. He was a member and Elder of Eastminster Presbyterian Church. A member of Avalon Lodge #657 F.&A.M., Scottish Rite Valley of Pgh. and the Masonic Veterans of W. PA. He was a 32nd degree Mason and Secretary and Past Master of North Side True Blues, Loyal Orange Lodge #36, Past State Master of PA, and Past Supreme Grand Master of the L.O.I. of the United States. He was a member of Sidney J. Taylor, L.O.L.L. #250 and Lily of the West, L.O.L.L. #19. Friends welcome Thursday 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. at FREYVOGEL - SLATER FUNERAL DIRECTORS, 112 Fort Couch Road, Bethel Park (Opposite Macy's South Hills Village). Service 11:00 a.m. Friday in Eastminster Presbyterian Church, East Liberty, 250 N. Highland Ave., Pgh., PA 15206. Interment in Allegheny Cemetery. If desired, memorials may be made to Eastminster Presbyterian Church, Allegheny District Chapter of the Multiple Sclerosis Society, 1040 Fifth Ave., Pgh., PA 15222 or The Orange Home Foundation Scholarship Fund, 1315 Biggs Road, Wilmington, DE 19805.
