Age 84 of Scott Township, on Friday, September 14, 2012. Husband of the late Josephine "Jessie" Shanahan; beloved father of Deborah (Keith) Hughes, George W. (Mary Anne) Shanahan, Paul J. (Kathleen L.) Shanahan, Kathleen M. Shanahan and the late Maureen S. Webb; also nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; brother of Mary Agnes Harrington, Catherine Welsh, Margaret Crombie, Charles Shanahan and Joan Talerico. Friens welcome Sunday 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at WILLIAM SLATER II FUNERAL SERVICE, 1650 Greentree Road, Scott Township. Mass of Christian Burial Monday 10 a.m. S.S. Simon & Jude Church. Entombment at Queen of Heaven Mausoleum. If desired, memorial donations to Central Catholic High School, 4720 5th Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15213
